Hundred Suns awesome 2023s

This is the third consecutive year that we’ve been excited to offer the new vintage of Hundred Suns wines to you. We loved the 2021 and 2022 vintage wines from Hundred Suns and 2023 completes the trifecta of great releases. It doesn’t hurt that 2023 has turned out to be a terrific Pinot Noir vintage throughout the Willamette Valley. Hundred Suns 2023s have confirmed what we thought last year: Hundred Suns is one of the newer stars not only in the Oregon wine scene, but in the U.S

Hundred Suns is the creation of husband and wife team Grant Coulter & Renée Saint-Amour. Grant spent ten years as assistant winemaker and then winemaker at Beaux Freres (nice gig). Grant moved on from being winemaker at Beaux Freres to overseeing the vineyards and making the wines for Flaneur Wines, and Renée swapped the classroom for the cellar and running of the day-to-day business. 

The Hundred Suns wines are simply beautiful. These are wines that offer pristine fruit, impeccable balance with layered and nuanced flavors that reflect their vineyard sites. 2022 was a year of contrasts. A cool, wet spring punctuated with frost reduced the yields and set back harvest until mid October. While production was down due to the spring frost, it served to concentrate what survived while warm summer days and a beautiful fall led to beautifully balanced and concentrated wines at Hundred Suns.
