Black cherry, gravel, spice, new leather, licorice and crushed rocks add to an impression of gravitas. A dark, hulking wine, the 2021 is going to need time to be at its best. Drink 2028-2045.” - 94-96 Vinous

The aromatics alone are haunting in their beauty. Rose petal, tangerine peel, cinnamon, kirsch, pomegranate and mint explode from the glass. Beams of supporting tannin give the wine its vertical build. This is such a promising Barolo. It could very well turn out to be one of the wines of the vintage. Drink 2028-2045.” - 95-97 Vinous - Very limited.

Even so, this strapping young Barolo will benefit from a few years in bottle.” - 94 Vinous - This is probably the tightest wine in this offer with amazing cellar potential. Got a kid born in 2021? Get married in 2021? Here is a wine that will be at its apogee when it’s 20-25 years old.

$55.99 bottle / $317.94($52.99) six-pack    Antonio Galloni must have forgotten to review this wine for Vinous, so you’ll have to deal with mine: “Comprised of two sections of the great Ginestra vineyard. The beautiful nose is very classic and impressive with dried roses and porcini scents. The palate is pure silk despite the (elegant) tannic structure. Notes of new leather, earth, blood orange peel complement the Nebbiolo fruit. Approachable with food now despite the tannins, this wine will really develop over the next 20 years. Buy.”
