Cameron 2023 Chardonnay Reserve Dundee Hills
Wish you could get Cameron's $75 single vineyard Abbey Ridge or Clos Electrique Chardonnay for half price? Well, now you can (kind of). Not quite satisfied with a few barrels of Abbey Ridge Chardonnay and Clos Electrique to the point of it being a $70+ wine, ever the stickler, John Paul went above and beyond by declassify a few barrels into this Reserve wine. While it doesn't quite compete with the very best vintages of the $75 Clos Electrique Chardonnay (Oregon's best?) or Abbey Ridge, it way over preforms at its humble price tag and blows the socks of other domestic Chardonnays at twice the price. Rich and balanced with great texture, pristine fruit and a strong mineral core make this a scintillating wine. This is a really strong vintage of this consistently great wine. Enjoy it now and over the next five years. Very limited.

Cameron 2023 Pinot Noir Reserve Dundee Hills
$227.94($37.99) six-pack Mostly from the great Abbey Ridge vineyard with a little Clos Electrique and one special barrel of the La Sierra vineyard. This is just what you would expect from Cameron and these great vineyards. Highly aromatic nose and a palate that is pure silk with ultra-pure fruit. Violets and earth take center stage aromatically while the silky palate is a bit more concentrated than the regular Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. The 2023 vintage is a big step up from the regular Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. Don't mess around - get it while you can!

Jean Bourdy 2022 Cotes du Jura Rouge
$227.94($37.99) six-pack Geek Alert: The Bourdy family has been in the wine growing/making business since 1475. Their estate is southeast of the Cote D'Or in the small town of Arlay in the Jura region. They grow Trousseau Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Savagnin and make some of the most interesting and age-worthy wines in the world at almost give-away prices. These are wines with a strong gout de terroir. The "Rouge" is a blend of 1/3 each Pinot Noir, Poulsard (Ploussard) & Trousseau co-fermented. Bourdy's 2022 Rouge is very aromatic with the Poulsard taking center stage. The elegant palate is nicely concentrated and loaded with pretty strawberry fruit and minerals. Enjoy this tangy, soil-driven wine now and over the next two decades with all manner of poultry, pork, mushroom casseroles and all kinds of vegetable dishes.

Pertois Lebrun Blanc de Blancs L'Extravertie, Cotes de Blanc
$317.94($52.99) six-pack Over the past couple years, Pertois-Lebrun has become our go-to Blanc de Blancs Champagne producer, ousting some of our other long-time and much better know Grower Champagne producers. The Champagnes of Pertois-Lebrun are precise and chiseled with pristine fruit supported by balancing acidity. The L’Extravertie offers a vein of minerality that runs throughout the palate. Enjoy now, or let it keep improving and gaining in complexity over the next decade. A stunning value!

Elvio Tintero 2021 Barbaresco
Tintero is one of importer Kermit Lynch’s most under the radar wineries, which is nice because it keeps the price down. 2021 is an unquestionably great vintage in Piedmont, and has lifted many Barolo and Barbaresco producers wines to new heights. This is definitely the case for Elvio Tintero as this is the best wine we have ever had from Tintero. This is a Barbaresco you can dig into right away, full of rich dark fruit with spicy hints of clove and orange zest leading to an elegant finish. Delicious Nebbiolo. Drink now and over the next five years. Very, very limited.

Cameron 2021 Nebbiolo Willamette Valley
$227.94($37.99) six-pack Geek Alert: Speaking of Nebbiolo…From Cameron's famed estate vineyard, Clos Electrique, and Foster Farm vineyard in Ribbon Ridge, this is (once again) the finest, most Piemontese-like Nebbiolo made outside of Piedmont. The nose offers very cool, ethereal aromas of menthol, leather, and dried rose petals. The palate is all Nebbiolo with its firm tannins, medium body and notes of orange peel, fine tobacco and dried porcini. Very Alto-Piemontese-like. Enjoyable now with decanting and some hearty fare, this wine will really blossom over the next 7-15 years. For those of you familiar with Cameron’s Nebbiolo, this may be the best vintage yet of this wine.

Thibaud Boudignon 2024 Rosé de Loire
This Rosé is a yearly personal favorite. Perhaps it's a bit cliché to say great winemakers make great wine but this beauty is proof positive. Cabernet Franc's signature is on full display here with fresh strawberry, roses, rhubarb, and a kiss of white pepper. Each sip delivers a great combination of crisp acidity and delicate fruit with a nice mineral touch. I love wines that evolve as the bottle warms. Drink the first glass with a chill for some refreshment and watch the wine change as it warms. Then try to decide if you like it more cool or room temp. -Lance's Pick

Colli di Lapio 2024 Fiano di Avellino
We love a good Fiano - and that's not just because it's fun to say. Arianiello, a small district located in the higher elevation (1800m) town of Lapio is in the most prestigious part of the Fiano DOCG. The 2024 is marked first by and incredible freshness that shows fresh pear and ripe stone fruits surrounded by a bouquet of white flowers. Initially, the palate feels round and rich but is beautifully bouyied by great verve and energy. Carbonara and Fiano for the win!

Terre Nere 2024 Etna Bianco
Customarily, producers on Mount Etna would use some of their native white varities with their Nerello rossos. Instead, in 2005, the venerable Marco de Grazia opted to blend the Catarratto, Inzolio, Grecanico, and Minnella, with his Carricante. And it works! The 2024 is citrus driven by orange blossom, orange zest, and saline. Perfectly weighted and really expansive on the mid-palate. The fruit and acid are in perfect harmony while the saline component adds dimension. Unique, distinct, and really versatile on the table. Limited-Lance's pick

Fento 2024 Albarino Rias Baixas
Fento is the side project of prestigious winemaker Eulogio Pomares of Bodegas Zarate and his wife Rebeca Montero. Eulogio makes some of Spain’s greatest white wines in his Zarate single vineyard bottlings. Made from dry-farmed, organic vineyards in the driest and warmest subzone of Rias Baixas, this is succulent, aromatic, and loaded with ripe stone fruits, melon, white flowers, and wet stone. Crisp acidity balances the lush fruit and rich texture. Enjoy now and over the next two years on its own or with just about seafood you can think of.
