Collection: 2025 Walter Scott

This cuvée includes some of the best vineyards Walter Scott works with including Freedom Hill, Hyland, Sojourner and Witness Tree. With a pristine nose, clean (non-reductive) aromas of pure Chardonnay fruit with a hint of lime zest and a palate that’s linear in the Walter Scott manner and medium-bodied with a silken texture, the 2025 version of the La Combe Verte is a little richer than the ’24 version with balancing acidity and a reprise of the lime zest note.  Yeah.

A blend of X Novo, Freedom Hill, Sojourn and Witness Tree vineyards (pretty rarified air). An attractive spice-lifted nose from 35% whole cluster fermentation gets the juices flowing.  The palate offers darker-toned fruit than the previous vintage along with a plusher mouth-feel and more richness.  The finish offers an enticing spice note that brings you back for more.  Texturally, this is pure velvet.

Über limited.  Don’t wait if you want some.  “The 2024 X Novo Aligoté opens with lemon peel, green pear, and jasmine, with a subtle flinty edge. The palate is taut and energetic, layering citrus and green apple over a fine lees texture. Bright acidity carries the wine through a long, saline finish.”  - Winery notes
