This is a blend of 66% Pinot Noir & 33% Pinot Meunier (yes, Meunier!) from one of Oregon’s greatest vineyards - Abbey Ridge. This sparkling wine manages to show the terroir of Abbey Ridge and the fruit profile of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - a grape variety with unique and beguiling spicy varietal expressions. While 66% Pinot Noir, it’s the Meunier that dominates the hauntingly complex aromatic profile (hallelujah!) The palate is coiled and takes a few minutes to start to open up with beautiful fruit from the Pinot Noir and savory and spice notes from the Pinot Meunier. The mouthfeel is rich and plush with a caramel note popping in to add nuance. Already delicious, this wine will only improve over the next seven to ten years. Holds its cards a little closer it its vest, but it has a winning hand. Dosage- 4 g/L. Merde sérieux. Very limited.
