Montepeloso 2023 A Quo (Super Tuscan) Toscana IGT

From Montepeloso's hillside estate outside the town of Suverto, near the Tuscan coast, the A Quo is a blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Montepulciano, 20% Sangiovese, 10% Marselan and 10% Alicante.  I hate to admit it but I'm naturally dismissive of the "Super Tuscan" category.  Montepeloso's 2023 A Quo, however, won me over easily while enjoyed with dinner a few weeks ago. Luxuriously textured, powerful and deeply layered in the glass, the 2023 A Quo is also nicely nuanced.  Notes of Bing cherries, black plums, sage, lavender and rosemary are some of the many aromas and flavors that give the 2023 its savory, inviting personality.  "The 2023 A Quo is a very pretty and delicious entry-level offering from proprietor Fabio Chiarelotto.
