Like the above Chai de la Dive Rosé, this Rouge is 100% Cabernet Franc is made with the same care by Romain Guiberteau and Brendan Stater-West. This is classic Parisian (or Loire) bistro wine. A wine that will pair oh-so-well with just about any poultry, pork, beef, lamb or mushroom-centric dish at an affordable price. The nose is clean and pure (no pyrazine /bell pepper scents) with just good old Cab Franc fruit and the slightest hint of clay/limestone earth while the palate offers strawberry and red raspberry fruit along with a hint of mineral and just about the right acidity to make it so food-friendly. Not super complex, but very satisfying at the table. Pass the steak frites, please.
