François Mikulski 2023 Volnay 1er Cru, Santenots du Milieu

Santenots is one of the great vineyards not just of Volnay, but of the Cote du Beaune. Mikulski’s vines are adjacent to Lafon’s and were planted in 1947.  Mikulski’s Santenots du Milieu offers enticing purity on the nose, which is still young and tight - as it should be. The palate is like a perfect example of premier cru Volnay - combining power and elegance, and ultra silky texture with pure fruit, violets and supporting soil tones.  Drink 2029 - 2040.
