This is my favorite Chablis of the ’22 vintage. It had so much more terroir action and better balance than most ’22 Chablis.
"The 2022 Chablis Les Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru, from 65-year-old vines, has a perfumed bouquet with red apple, yellow plum and melted candle wax scents, a little oilier than its peers but quite intriguing. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, fine concentration and ample focus, that citric thread of acidity upholding tension. Very fine.” - 92 Vinous - It’s better than that!
