Long a staple of the importer Kermit Lynch’s portfolio, Salvard Cheverny offers perhaps the greatest value in Sauvignon Blanc from anywhere, especially in the outstanding 2024 vintage. When Kermit introduced this wine in July 1993, he said, “Salvard makes the most drinkable, quaffable Sauvignon Blanc I have ever tasted.” Maybe the secret is that Salvard adds a dash of Chardonnay which adds complexity. The palate is crisp and mouthwatering with notes of Meyer lemon and orchard fruit complementing the wine’s mineral note. Enjoy all summer long.
