Regular readers of this newsletter know that we’re huge fans of Delarche White Burgundies , especially those from Pernand-Vergelesse as they are delicious, great values and for the amazing way they transfer their terroir from vineyard to the glass. This is the first time we’ve been able to get enough of their Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne to offer it publicly. Beepin’ yay! Delarche’s Corton-Charlemagne vines are located high up the Pernand side of the Corton hill. These old vines produce one powerful Grand Cru White Burgundy that not only offers volume, richness, and suburb balance and great texture, but also an incredible tension that almost becomes hypnotizing if you let your mind relax. This is a classic that while already stunning, will only gain in complexity over the next decade. Very limited.
