As an introduction into the potential of the Four Winds site this wine sure does set the bar high. Two clones, Draper and Wente, comprise this blend that’s been barrel fermented (20% new) and finished in steel. Crystal clear in the glass as aromas of morning mist, bright green moss,and honeydew melon are layered over notes of fluffy clotted cream. The palate is firm with a core of kiwi, lemon, and tart lychee with a snappy and almost salty mineral finish. There’s plenty going on but this wine has a pleasure factor that makes it incredibly drinkable.
