This wine is from Cassis (perhaps from the prettiest appellation in France) where a charming village, chalky white cliffs, and irresistible aquamarine water inlets flank lush vineyards along the Mediterranean coast. No surprise that this blend of Clairette, Marsanne and Ugni Blanc present a quite heady mix of nectarine, preserved lemon, and a dose of salinity. The palate has a creaminess and supple weight that add length to the juicy and refreshing mid palate. And, of course, there is a satisfying does of limestone terroir. Enjoy over the next year with frilled fish, prawns, vegetable pastas, steamed clams and mussels, pizza bianca and so on and on and on.
