The balance here is fantastic and I love the way that the Mourvèdre (Mataro) stands out. “We feel the 2024 vintage is one of the strongest wines of the year. Yields were low in 2024, so there’s less to go around, but the core of the wine remains rooted, as always, in Blocks 39 and 42 located on the “crown” of the vineyard along with ancient Carignan and Mourvèdre. The final blend is approximately 62% Zinfandel, 19% Carignan, 10% Mourvèdre, and 8% from the other 20+ varieties.
