2016 Ronchi di Giancarlo Rocca, Barbaresco, Cru Ronchi Piedmont $39.99 / $227.94($37.99) 6-pack
We offered the 2016 Ronchi Barbaresco “normale” in the spring and has been one of our best selling wines of the year This is ultra-traditional Barbaresco from a producer who’s been doing it the same way for decades. The 2016 is Barbaresco with incredible elegance and great longevity, a Barbaresco in which structure, spices, and minerals are at least as important as fruit. Long maceration and extended aging in cask results in a wine that is released when it’s beginning to show the qualities that make a Barbaresco worth drinking: secondary aromas and flavors and the complexity that comes with age. This is like the Barbaresco soulmate to Bartolo Mascarello Barolo: Etherial, complex and able to combine power with elegance. While still at least a decade away from hitting its prime drinking window, at least you won’t be committing infanticide if you try it now. I love this wine!. At under $30, it was a steal. We now offer you the Ronchi’s next step up from the great 2016 vintage - their Cru Ronchi (single vineyard named Ronchi). This wine takes it up a few notches in terms of concentration, structure and fruit intensity (perfectly ripe) while still remaining balanced and nuanced. Already showing tons of potential with lots of aromatic complexity and the structure and balance to age gracefully for 25+ years, the Ronchi “Cru Ronchi” is an amazing deal.  But don't buy this wine just because of its value, buy it because it is outstanding young Barbaresco.  While the 2016 has not yet been rated, Ronchi's Barbaresco normale consistently scores in the 92-95 range from Antonio Galloni in vintages that are not as strong as 2016.  Stock up and buy it now while it's still available! Fans of the Produttori del Barbaresco Cru Riservas will love this wine (and lower price)!

2019 Sainte Magdeleine, Cotes de Provence Rosé, Provence $25.89
After tasting 40 to 50 dry, still rosés this spring and summer, I’ve landed on this one as my favorite under $30 from the 2019 vintage. This scintillating dry Rosé is comprised of 35% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah grown on the clay and limestone terraced Mediterranean seaside hills in the commune of La Ciotat. This wine goes way beyond simple summer refresher. It offers real depth and complexity with bright citrus notes balancing the fresh fruit and briny minerals framed by racy acidity on the silky palate. Um…more, please!

2018 Kelley Fox, Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, Maresh - Red Barn Block $89.89
I get to taste a lot of blue chip Pinot Noir every year, a lot. This may be the single greatest domestic Pinot I've tasted in the last few years. This wine has all the attributes of the above two Maresh bottlings, yet is somehow even finer in indescribable ways, at least for me. I don't pony-up for $90 wines for my personal cellar very often, but I was excited to for this wine. Wine like this doesn't come along very often and this is the last vintage for this bottling. This will provide scintillating drinking over the next 20 years.
